Auditions for productions with Netflix take place everyday making going to an audition for Netflix original television series and movies a piece of cake!
If you are young and talented, working with Netflix may just be the acting opportunity that you are looking for. You have nothing to lose, just go to a Netflix audition and it will be a good experience to tuck under your belt. Netflix is growing rapidly into a huge entertainment venue with many tuning in to watch their original series and movies every year. It is good to know that being punctual is really important when you are preparing yourself for a Netflix audition. They will only give you fifteen minutes to prepare for your audition and to complete your check in. If you are going to the location for the first time be sure to plan your trip accordingly with enough time allowed for traffic and any other hiccups that may happen along the way to the audition. The biggest thing to know as you prepare to audition for Netflix is that the Netflix Casting Director will run the show and you will receive your instructions from them. Remember to relax and have fun. The audition room may seem intimidating at first. They have set the room up to be tailored to the type of audition you are doing and auditions with Netflix are always closed doors. While having family support is nice, they will not allow anyone but the actor back in the audition room and anyone else that is with that actor will be expected to wait in the designated waiting area.
Netflix may require you to perform a monologue for them as part of the audition. A monologue is usually a speech that is directed towards another character and performed with no interruption. Having a monologue ready for all auditions can be really helpful and show the director that you are serious about the audition. In acting it can be similar to having a business card, even if you think you won’t need it keep one on hand just in case. Keep two monologues on hand even, one that is more dramatic and one that is comedic in nature; making sure to learn both of them well so you can perform them with ease.
